Little Lights started at home, with my own children.

Every year, I wanted Diwali to feel as exciting for them as it did for me growing up — full of colour, anticipation and magic. But I couldn't find anything that truly captured that feeling for kids. So I decided to create it myself.

The idea behind the box

I wanted something that would build excitement day by day in the run-up to Diwali. Something a child could open each morning and feel that flutter of festive joy. A countdown that wasn't just about waiting — but about discovering, creating and celebrating.

That's how the Little Lights Diwali Countdown Box was born. Packed with 7 days of surprises — from glow in the dark stars to wooden rangoli, a colour changing LED light, an activity book, chocolates and Play-Doh with a star cutter — it's designed to bring the festival of lights alive for little ones aged 3 to 8.

Why it matters to us

Diwali is a celebration of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. We want every child who opens a Little Lights box to grow up proud of that story — and excited to be part of it.

We're a small, independent brand based in the UK. Only 100 boxes are available this Diwali season, each one made with care and intention.
